WE WORK WITH SCHOOLS STRUGGLING TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL EDUCATION BY PROVIDING AN INTEGRATED SPORTS CURRICULUM AND APPOINTING A FULL TIME COACH

OUR BELIEF

As every child deserves an excellent education, we at URJA believe that sports is an integral part of that excellent education. We also believe that problems such as poor health, lack of confidence, personality development, lack of focus and several others can be addressed by investing students in sports. Sports is a great medium for students to channelize their energy in right direction. It teaches them a lot of values like teamwork, courage, patience, sportsmanship etc. Sports help students to lead a healthy lifestyle which leads to their physical development and also helps them in academics, there is improvement in attendance, focus and motivation. In the longer run sports also opens up a lot of career opportunities.

Gaurav Sharma
Project Lead

Gaurav earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and currently working as a fellow with Teach For India. Education and development sector invest him and plans to make his future in same. He is passionate regarding football and sports.

Amit Tiwari
Project Lead

Amit an Electronics and Communication engineer worked as a fellow with Teach For India (2016-2018) and now as an alumni started this venture with fellows.  He showed his passion for sports by running a Be The Change project ‘SPARDHA’ where he worked with around 200 underprivileged kids of Ahmadabad

Vivek Singh
Project Lead

Vivek a civil engineering graduate is working as a fellow with Teach For India. He previously volunteered with MAD (Make A Difference) . He has been a sports and fitness enthusiast.
